Insert into the Patch Panel Once the connector is attached, insert it into the corresponding port on the patch panel. Ensure it clicks or locks into place, providing a secure connection. For LC connectors, the small form factor allows high-density installation, while SC or ST connectors use push-pull or threaded mechanisms . 7. Test the Connection Use a light source and power meter to verify signal transmission. Check for insertion loss and ensure the connection meets network performance standards . 8. Cable Management Use cable ties or fiber management brackets to organize the cables, preventing stress or bending that could damage the fibers. Maintain proper bend radius and avoid tangling .
