  3. Connecting the Loads
    • Single-pole MCB output: Connect the phase wire to the load, neutral to the neutral link, and earth to the earth link.
    • Double-pole MCB output: Connect both phase and neutral to the load, and earth to the earth link .
  4. Earthing
    • Connect the earth wire from the supply or earth pit to the earth link in the DB.
    • All metallic enclosures of appliances and the DB itself should be connected to the earth link for safety .
  5. Load Distribution
    • Distribute circuits logically: lighting, power outlets, kitchen appliances, and high-power devices on separate MCBs.
    • Ensure the MCB rating matches the load to prevent tripping or overheating .

Safety Considerations

  • Always turn off the main supply before working inside the DB.
  • Use properly rated wires for each circuit.
  • Verify phase, neutral, and earth continuity before powering the circuits.
